Allison Bienenfeld

Seeking to create change is one of the most courageous actions a person can take in their life. We can feel “stuck” in our relationships, our work or school, our behaviors, and even with our emotions. Together, we will work to identify areas you would like to shift and jointly create a plan with hands-on strategies to help make those changes happen. I use a trauma-sensitive approach for things big and small that have happened, helping clients cope, heal, and grow from painful past experiences so a higher level of satisfaction can be achieved in present and future relationships. I use a strengths-based approach to highlight the individual and natural resiliency that has helped bring you to this present moment. Using a variety of interventions that target the heart, the mind, and the body, we will take a holistic approach to your emotional health using conversational and expressive/creative activities, as well asevidenced-based trauma treatments such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems techniques. I seek to understand your unique experiences and perspectives to help unlock your inner wisdom and strengths to promote growth, understanding, compassion, and acceptance. My specialties include processing through prior trauma or abuse, strengthening attachment, and processing grief, loss, or other life transitions.
